“Cold Calling is the same as spamming…”
I’m just going to come out and say it; “I hated cold calling and talking to random strangers”, hoping to find someone that might be interested in my products or services.
Prospecting in malls, exhibition stands and phoning random people about my business!
I think the real reason why I hated this so much was because I could feel how I was spamming people!
Think about it…how do you feel when someone random approaches you wanting to sell you something? How do you feel when you walk in a mall and you approach those exhibition stands with the sales reps ready to pounce on you!
I think we can all agree that it is not right!
These methods of prospecting have given the Network Marketing Profession a very bad reputation and I personally believe the #1 reason why people are failing and not making the kind of money they hoped for!
How much time and money do you spend driving after prospects that don’t pitch? Paying for expensive coffees that don’t convert into sales..? \
I wish someone showed me a better way to prospect when I was building my business! I knew there had to be a better way, but I just couldn’t find anyone to show me!
Instead I was told to face my fears and create a name list of everyone in my warm market and get to work!
I was desperate for a better way, an easier way where I could get people to contact me instead of going out talking to random strangers…
After many years and research I finally found the illusive obvious answer; “marketing”!
Marketing is the missing link and what will allow you to get your business, products and services in front of the people that are already looking for what you have to offer!!!!!
It is obvious but no one is teaching us how to market our business effectively!
I don;t know about you but no one told me to only speak to people who needed my product, hell I didn’t even know what specific product I was selling! I was just talking to random people about any of our products!
You can never be successful with this kind of clueless approach!
If you are in a Network Marketing company with multiple products or services, choose one product and base your entire marketing strategy on this!
If you are part of a wellness company and you have an amazing product to help people with diabetes, focus on that and ONLY speak to people who is suffering from Diabetes!
They have the problem that your product is offering a solution to! There is no point talking to them about your product for arthritis because they don’t have it, they have Diabetes!
I hope I am making sense!
If you have a business, any business, you need to understand that; “your business is marketing!”
If you are not focusing daily on getting your products or services in front of the people that are already looking for what you have to offer, then you have nothing and you will not make the kind of money that will set you financially free!
